Early Saturday afternoon we got off the subway and and ventured into a nerdy mecca of toys, props, scale models, full size models, and lego-amazingness. I was expecting the large amount of star wars stuff, but there ws something for everyone here. Comic book heros, science fiction and fantasy legends, horror classics.... this place had it all. I oooed and ahhhed over the beautiful life-size Jack Skellington and was more then a little freaked out by the very life like quartet of terminators that were lined up. They had characters from disney to alien vs predator. They even had Elvis and Jack the Ripper.
After a good hour or two there, hunger pulled us away. We stopped to enjoy the sun by the riverside, then headed downtown for some food. After recharging a bit, I showed Ben a few of the churches and other interesting spots I have found around my apartment building before it got dark. All in all, a very satisfying saturday. Sunday, I did lay around for awhile, spent time with Dash, and did some much needed cleaning and letter writing. I also started on a cat tower made from cardboard, but broke my glue gun ten minutes in. Not a great end to an otherwise super duper weekend of nerdy gloriousness.
